The PGA Frisco’s new megaplex golf facility is now well underway, much to the excitement of golf fans throughout Texas. The ambitious addition to the area’s already booming sports and hospitality portfolio includes two 18-hole world-class courses, a 10-hole short course, a 30-acre practice facility, the Omni PGA Frisco Resort, as well as a unique golf-themed retail experience and the PGA Headquarters.
However, this place isn't only a golf lover's paradise, this complex appeals to non-golfers as well. The majority of the facility will be open to the general public, including the three miles of walking and biking trails throughout the complex. The city of Frisco also negotiated a deal for Frisco golfers to pay a reduced fee to play at the new facility.
There’s a lot more to come for golf fans in Frisco, as the East and West courses will be hosting 26 PGA championship events in the first 12 years. There is also talk of a potential Ryder Cup at some point in the future, so we’re keeping high hopes.
The course opening is set for April 2023, and the organizers are planning a joint grand opening for the golf facilities and the massive Omni PGA Frisco Resort.
