All That You Need to Know
PGA Frisco is slated to host six major championships over the next 12 years - including two PGA Championships. Check the future championships that will take place at this new golf mecca:
Major Championships at PGA Frisco
From May 24th to the 28th we will get our first Major Championship golf in Frisco, the 83rd KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship. This is golf’s most prestigious senior men’s major and will be the event to kickstart activities at the new PGA Frisco facilities. We’re slated to have another one of these championships in 2029.
We can look forward to 2025 for our first KPMG Women's PGA Championship hosted at Frisco. The KPMG is the only all-professional women’s major golf tournament, and is usually an exciting display of talent. Our city will host once again in 2031.
A few years further, in 2027 we will get our first taste at a PGA Championship, the strongest of the four men's Major Championship in professional golf. This will be a truly momentous event and we’ll be treated to it again in 2034.
Other Golf Leagues in Frisco
Through the first twelve years of the PGA Frisco facilities we’ll be able to enjoy these other golf leagues, at different times: the PGA Jr. League Championship, the PGA Professional Championship, the Boys & Girls Junior PGA Championship, the PGA Cup, the Senior PGA Professional Championship, and the National Car Rental Assistant PGA Professional Championship. It’s probably safe to say that we won’t be wanting for golfing events here in Frisco.

Of course all these awesome golf leagues happening in Frisco can leave you with the itch to practice on your swing yourself. PGA Frisco is open to local residents, Club 1916 members, and resort guests starting in May 2023. There players of all ages and skill levels can enjoy the two 18-hole championship golf courses, a lighted 10-hole, par-3 short course, a 2-acre putting course and entertainment area, and one-of-a-kind simulation and coaching experiences.
